Serving as the true intro to the album, Infinity leads into this second single which starts the LP off with a boom.
Gravity less so focuses on the album story, but more of a guilty conscience and the urge to follow in someone else's footsteps after you are dragged down again and again. This is a personal one to me more than anything else, and is significant of a mental health disorder among many others on this album. Gravity is significant of depression and suicidal tendencies.
lyrics
Close your eyes
And disappear
You'll fall asleep
To your darkest fear
When I'm at my lowest
And there's no one around
I feel like I've been pinned down
I can't make a sound
There's nothing here
When I wanna feel a kick
I wanna feed the homeless
I wanna heal the sick
I wanna see my potential
I wanna feel agony
I wanna see the world above
I wanna escape this gravity
THIS GRAVITY
THIS GRAVITY
I've reached the point
Of no return
I need to find something
To help me learn
Is it possible to win this race
If it's just meeting face to face?
And if we wait for the other to fall
Does anyone really win at all?
I wanna know where I went wrong
I wanna know how you knew all along
I wanna help the helpless
Wanna befriend the friendless
I wanna fall with you
I wanna see the galaxy
I wanna escape the clutches
Of this gravity (of this gravity)
